My experience as an Airbnb host

Hello beautiful people!

So last year I started stepping down the path to be an entrepreneur and decided to take the fate of my income into my own hands. With this approach I faced the reality of multiple source income and in this blog post I’m going to share with you one of those streams of income that is classified as “passive”, it is Airbnb. For those of you who never heard of Airbnb, it is an online marketplace that enables people to list, find, and rent vacation homes, rooms and couches for a fraction of hotel cost. It has over 1,500,000 listings in 34,000 cities and 191 countries. It is a fast growing industry that allows people from all around the world to find a place to stay while traveling on a budget; it brings people together and enables many people to start their own business while connecting and meeting new people from all walks of earth.

So I started opening my house to strangers at first as an experiment, but I really became interested in the people who I came across during my hosting experience. They are what made this entire experiment worthwhile. From connecting and getting to know people I usually wouldn’t even meet, I was able to build relationships, special business connections, client references, even a ticket to a Circus de Solei in Boston. From business perspective this entire experience was absolutely amazing, I started generating revenue and felt really confident as a female entrepreneur. Yes there is always a risk in opening your doors to strangers, you never know who may end up in your apt or a house but I have a very strict screening process that I trust and rely on. So far I’ve been blessed with the best experience of hosting and recommended my friends to try.

We live in the era when networking has become essential attribute in our society and business growth and one way to create the network is through personal approach, Airbnb has done just that for my business and my personal growth. If you’re inspired to become a host and take on this fun and exciting endeavor of creating your own business follow the link bellow and create your own listing! If you do please share your experience with me, I will be thrilled to hear your stories!
